CD Projekt RED announced a collaboration with the band Refused to give life to the band SAMURAI – that will mark presents in their created world for the game Cyberpunk 2077.
In presenting the first theme of this collaboration, “Chippin ‘In”, CDPR announced that the Swedish band is writing and recording an EP with the greatest successes of SAMURAI, in partnership with Marcin Przybyłowicz, the Polish company’s composer.
Refused are creating songs strongly influenced by the original material, but they are also creating songs especially for Cyberpunk 2077.
The idea for the collaboration was born in Piotr Adamczyk, one of the composers of the soundtrack of the game and fan of the band. With the help of Refused, CDPR believes that the punk factor in Cyberpunk 2077 will reach a new level.
Dennis Lyxzén, the lead singer of Refused, says this is an unexpected challenge and they were thrilled to be working with CDPR in the game.
Cyberpunk 2077 will arrive on April 16, 2020.
